It’s been an unbelievable first month at The Learning Café! Our students and families are truly amazing. We’ve journaled in the gardens, played on the square, practiced integers and quadratic equations, crocheted fingerless gloves, and so much more. Below are some pictures from our exciting first month together. Enjoy!!!

Events

STUDENT EVENTS

While we don’t have anything set in stone, the students have been discussing a costume-themed karaoke night. We are hoping to plan more this Wednesday. Stay tuned!

Speaking of Wednesday, we have a Pop-Up Teen Yoga class this Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00. This class is FREE for members and only $10 for non-members. Register HERE!

PARENT EVENTS

We also hope to have some parent events and fundraiser events in the near future. If you like to plan events, please email Program Director, Tania Bertolone, to join our Event Planning Committee!

COMMUNITY EVENTS

We joined the Chardon Chamber of Commerce. We will be scheduling our Ribbon Cutting ceremony soon. Stay tuned!

Register for Classes

Session Two will begin October 24th. Registration will open next week. We have some exciting offerings on the horizon. Our Class Registration page has been revamped to make it more user friendly. CLICK HERE to check it out and register for classes!

How You Can Help

Now that we’ve settled into the space, we are getting a better idea of some of our needs. In order of priority, we need a coat rack with storage for backpacks, shoes, and books, three storage cabinets, and a pantry storage cabinet. Do you notice the theme here…STORAGE SPACE!!! We’ve priced out what we are looking for and the total cost comes to about $2,000. If you are willing to contribute to our storage needs, please CLICK HERE to donate. We would be ever so grateful!

Scholarship Information

We have been approved to be a Qualified Education Service Provider (QESP) with the Ohio After school Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Account program. This means families can take advantage of scholarship money to help pay for their TLC classes! Click Here to find out more.
